Service design
Solving a whole problem for someone, by understanding and co-ordinating things. People, data, products and processes all need to be evaluated and arranged so people can achieve their goals. I have designed services for many organisations, including NHS, Ministry of Defence and Guardian Media Group.
Design strategy
Large-scale design projects for millions of users. Undertaking strategic design work means being data-informed and confident, with the right plan to measure and improve long-term. I led the creative direction of NHS.UK, England biggest health care website and the establishment of the NHS design system, which was a critical tool in the COVID pandemic response.
Design team leadership
Creating environments where designers can thrive and design's purpose is clear. I have recruited, coached and managed many designers in my career, and managed design teams at Orange and the NHS.
